Privacy Policy

What personal data this website collects, why it collects it, who it touches, and what you can ask me to do about it. Written in plain language on purpose.

Last updated: 3 October 2026

1. Who we are

DS Vignesh ("I", "me", "we") operates the AI Build Workshop website and the live sessions, email list and support channels described here. DS Vignesh is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

I am a small operation, not a corporation with a compliance department. That means I read every message myself — which is also why I do not need a large amount of your data.

2. What we collect

I only collect what is needed to run a paid live workshop. There is no account system on this site, so there is no password to steal.

DataWhenWhere it comes from
Full nameRegistration formYou type it in
Email addressRegistration formYou type it in
WhatsApp numberRegistration formYou type it in
Your answer to "I'm joining because…"Registration formYou select it
Payment status and transaction referenceWhen you payPayU (see section 5)
Session recordings of your visit to this siteAfter you accept the bannerMicrosoft Clarity (see section 4)
Messages you send meWhatsApp or emailYou send them

I never ask for: your card or UPI PIN, any OTP, your bank password, or a copy of your ID. PayU handles all payment entry — those details go straight to them and never touch this site. If anyone claiming to be me asks for an OTP or PIN over WhatsApp, it is a scam. Block them and tell me.

3. Why we use it

To deliver the workshopSending joining details, the setup checklist and the replay. Without an email or WhatsApp number I cannot deliver what you paid for.
To confirm payment and issue a receiptProvided by PayU, and used to send you the session link.
To support youAnswering your questions before and after the session, including the lifetime Q&A included with your seat.
To improve this pageSession recordings show me where people get stuck or leave, so I can fix it.
To send you relevant updatesFuture sessions and material updates, only if you ask to hear from me. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

I do not sell your data. I do not rent it, trade it, or share it with advertisers. I do not run ad tracking or retargeting pixels on this site.

4. Cookies and session recording

This site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors move around the page — which sections they read, where they click, and where they abandon. Clarity is a session-recording tool owned by Microsoft.

It is opt-in, not automatic

When you first arrive you get a consent banner. Nothing is recorded until you press "Accept." If you press "Decline", the Clarity script is never loaded at all. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so you are not asked again.

What Clarity can and cannot see

  • It records: page views, clicks, scroll depth, and the pages you move between.
  • It masks by default: any text typed into a form field, including your name, email and WhatsApp number.
  • It does not see: your payment details, or anything you type outside a form field.

If you accept and later change your mind, you can clear this site's data in your browser, or email me and I will note your preference.

5. Who else sees it

I use a small number of third-party services. Each one only receives the minimum needed to do its job.

ProviderWhat they receiveWhy
PayUPayment amount, transaction ID, and contact details you enter at checkoutProcessing your payment. They act as an independent controller for payment data under their own privacy policy.

Google FontsYour IP addressServing the two typefaces on this page.

I do not disclose your data to anyone for marketing purposes, and I have not sold or shared it with data brokers.

6. How long we keep it

  • Registration and payment records — kept for as long as you remain a customer, then for 3 years, because Indian tax and accounting rules require business records to be retained for 8 years from the end of the relevant financial year.
  • Email and WhatsApp messages — kept while we are in contact, then deleted within 12 months unless you are still an active attendee.
  • Session recordings (Clarity) — Clarity retains recording data on a rolling basis, typically under 24 months. That window is set in your Clarity dashboard, not on this site.
  • Workshop materials — kept indefinitely for people who attended, so you can download them whenever you need.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and comparable global rules, you can ask me to:

  • Confirm what I hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete your data, where I am not legally required to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent — including for analytics. Note that once you withdraw it, I can no longer rely on it for future outreach.
  • Stop receiving marketing email at any time, with no effect on your paid workshop.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

To use any of these, message me on WhatsApp or email the address in section 11. I will respond within 30 days. There is no charge, and it will not affect your workshop seat.

Your refund rights are separate from this policy. The refund commitments on the workshop page are set out in the Terms & Conditions section 5, and they are a contractual promise, not a privacy right.

8. How we protect it

  • The Brevo API key used for this site is held server-side only and is never present in the page source a visitor downloads.
  • Payments run entirely on PayU's hosted checkout. Card and UPI data never reaches this site.
  • The site is served over HTTPS, so data is encrypted in transit.
  • Access to the data is limited to me. There is no team, no shared login, and no third party with standing access.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data I will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

9. Children

This site and the workshop are not directed at anyone under 18. I do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has given me personal data, message me and I will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

I will update this page if my practices change, and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects how I use your data, I will email the registered attendees before it takes effect. Previous versions are available on request.

11. Contact and complaints

Questions, requests or complaints about privacy — reach me on any of these:

If you are not satisfied with how I have handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority in your country. In India that is the Data Protection Board.
